![]() I think it's great for those of you who have kids/individuals who want to go up the hill and tub/sled down. If I had to do it again, I would have definitely been one of the ones on the side of the road vs spending all that time and $ at Leland. We tried our hand at the food, not too expensive and relatively tasty for deepfried goodness :) By the time the kids got their food and ate, we decided to make our way back home, worrying about the icy road conditions. We were out there for a little bit, but as it continued to rain we thought it best if we went inside for a bit. My daughter didn't want to do anything except for build a snow-man.which is what we ended up trying to do. Although no difficult to maneuver might need some guidance for first-timer. As soon as we stepped outside we were pretty much left to fend for ourselves, with no real process outlined. We clipped on our passes and out we went. We went up to the cashier and ended up paying ~$40 to go out on the snow(my daughter and myself). Heck, it's kids and snow.of course you want/get chaos. Once we walked in it didn't get any less chaotic. We were lucky enough to find a space in the corner that we quickly grabbed. The place was very busy, with very little parking in the muddy lot. We were not to be distracted by such nonsense, we wanted the real deal.so we continued on our trek. What I observed were a bunch of kids playing in the snow with their tubes and sleds. On the way up we noticed two pull outs, that had cars lined up for days. We ended up heading out roughly around 1:30-2:00ish. We had rented a cabin in Twain Harte for the weekend and decided to take the kiddos to Leland for some snow fun.
